PHD-RESEARCH
The researcher has a degree in informatics and a PhD in Computer Science obtained in 2015 awarded with a technological transfer project (producte 2016) SENSA from AGAUR-Generalitat de Catalunya. He is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Computer Vision Center within the Augmented Modelling (IAM) group awarded with “Consolidated Research Group” label (2017 SGR 1624) from the Catalan Government and associate professor at the Computer Science Department. His main research interests are medical imaging, anatomy modelling and image processing applied in the development of intelligent endoscopic support systems (for, both, in-vivo diagnosis and intervection guidance) and radiomics. Dr. C.Sanchez has been working at Centre de Visió per Computador (CVC) from 2008. From 2008 to 2010 as Technical research support. From 2010 to 2014 as a PhD student (with a grant PIF 471-01-2/2010). From 2015 to the present as a postdoctoral researcher. During this period, he had a TECNIOspring PLUS fellow (TECSPR17-1-0045) from 2018 to 2020 with the first year abroad in the West University of Timisoara (UVT) – Institute e-Austria.
He keeps a constant activity in teaching in the last 10 years. He has more than 1500 hours of teaching. He had directed 5 final degree projects, 2 final master thesis, 1 phd thesis and currently, he is supervisor of 1 PhD student. In the innovation part he has published 3 papers on self-learning tools in (national and international) conferences and journal of teaching innovation indexed in Q1. Besides he has participated in 2 projects of educational innovation obtained in public calls.
